PROFILE:
Major Metals Queensland specialises in manufacturing large diameter steel pipes for pile casings, pipe fittings, steel ducting and tanks for industry.

Established in 1978 in New South Wales as Major Metals Disposals, three brothers and a couple of mates entered into a business venture in demolitions and disposals. Operating from Moree and Wee Waa, New South Wales, Ron Hamer continued to work with his two brothers John and Bruce after moving to Dalby Queensland in 1991.

In 1997, Ron Hamer formed Dalby Pipes and Caissons Pty Ltd trading as Major Metals Queensland which is a wholly owned Australian steel pipe manufacturer and supplier.

In 2007 Major Metals Queensland was aquired by RPG Australia, and continues to trade under the Major Metals Queensland name.

SAFETY:
Major Metals Queensland is committed to providing a safe work environment for all workers. Safe handling of all materials is part of our induction program. Safe loading and unloading of completed pipes for storage and transport to site is confirmed prior to despatch.

TRAINING:
Major Metals Queensland believes in the appointment and training of apprentices, office and workshop staff. We have in place training procedures for various operations carried out in both office and workshop.
